Jessica Simpson is like the James Franco of the retail world -- she has a hand in just about everything. In addition to her billion-dollar fashion empire -- which includes everything from shoes and bags to swimwear and denim -- her line of signature perfumes, and her soon-to-be launched fine jewelry collection, the star has struck a partnership with BeachMint.com, a family of members-only sites that partners with celebrities to design and sell wares. The first to be launched, JewelMint, is a collaboration with Kate Bosworth and features jewelry; StyleMint, which popped up in July, sells custom t-shirts by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen; and Simpson's new venture, coined BeautyMint, will hit the Internet on October 1.
Along with Aussie aesthetician Nerida Joy, Simspon -- a former spokesperson for Proactiv -- will shill antiaging skincare. With so much success in the fashion world, it seems a natural step for Simpson to branch out into the beauty and skincare markets. But at 31, the antiaging angle seems a little premature, no?
