Working in the land of editorial and celebrity hair styling can be very exciting, but you'll have to be willing to be flexible and creative. Working as a freelance celebrity stylist means you won't have the ease of a regular schedule, or a regular paycheck. To make matters more complicated, I highly recommend living and working in NYC or LA (where the celebs are, duh!) but those places aren't easy, or cheap. You'll also be working with diva-like personalities all day, and did I mention you'll probably have to assist for a few years?
If I haven't scared you off yet, congratulations! You have what it takes to break into the exciting world of celebrity and editorial styling. Check out this article where I show you the step by steps to starting a successful career as a celebrity hair stylist.
