When and Where:
With a 16 year age difference, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married on November 18, 2006 at the Odescalchi Castle in Lake Bracciano, Italy.
Famous Guests:
Among the 150 guests were Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Brooke Shields and Chris Henchy, Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, and Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy.
Wedding Party:
The Scientologist wedding party included Tom's children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman, Isabella and Connor. Tom's buddy David Miscavige served as the best man with Katie's sister Nancy Blaylock as the matron of honor.
What Katie Wore:
The bride wore an off-the-shoulder Armani gown with an ivory silk train of Valenciennes lace and Swarovski beaded crystal embroidery. She added a floor length veil and ivory silk shoes. Katie later changed into a champagne Armani evening gown for the reception.
What Tom Wore:
The groom wore a navy blue tuxedo from the Giorgio Armani Hand Made to Measure collection. As you would expect the best for Tom, his tux jacket label read, "Giorgio Armani for Tom Cruise."
The Bling:
Tom and Katie both exchanged white gold Cartier rings adorned with diamonds.
The Cake:
The cake was a five-tiered masterpiece in white chocolate, covered in marzipan roses, and accented with white chocolate chips.
The Music:
Nothing but the best for TomKat as they were serenaded by the gorgeous voice of Italian singer Andrea Bocelli.
The Security:
Paparazzi and general onlookers were kept at a safe distance from the castle with various police checkpoints around the perimeter. Journalists were not completely left out, and were safely stationed in the nearby town square.
The Honeymoon:
After the spectacular wedding, Tom and Katie jetted off to the gorgeous Maldives for some much needed rest and relaxation.
