Tony Curtis - Died September 29, 2010

Legendary actor Tony Curtis, who graced the screens since the 1950s, died at the age of 85. Tony went into cardiac arrest at his home in Vegas on September 29, 2010. The sad news was confirmed to the media by his daughter, actress Jamie Lee Curtis. Over the course of his long career, Tony starred in over 150 movies, battled drug addiction, was married six times, and fathered six children.

George Steinbrenner - Died July 13, 2010

Legendary Yankees owner, George Steinbrenner, suffered a massive heart attack on July 13, 2010 in Florida and was pronounced dead. George celebrated his 80th birthday on July 4 of the same year. George was rushed to St. Joseph's hospital in Tampa, Florida and unfortunately, he did not make it. He will be missed by many Yankees fans.

Rue McClanahan - Died June 3, 2010

Former Golden Girls star and Emmy award winner Rue McClanahan has died at the age of 76. She suffered a massive stroke and her family was there by her side when she passed away on June 3, 2010. Rue began her acting career at the age of 30 and was best known for playing the saucy character, Blanche Devereaux, on Golden Girls.

Dennis Hopper - Died May 29, 2010

Legendary actor Dennis Hopper died on May 29, 2010 at the age of 74. He fought a painful battle with prostate cancer and succumbed at his home in Venice, California surrounded by friends and family. Dennis was best known for his work in films such as Rebel Without a Cause, Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, and Blue Velvet. He leaves behind four children; Marin, 47, Ruthanna, 35, Henry, 19, and Galen, 7.

Gary Coleman - Died May 28, 2010

Former Diff'rent Strokes star Gary Coleman died on May 28, 2010 at the young age of 42 following a brain hemorrhage. Gary slipped into a coma and was pronounced dead at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo, Utah. "He was removed from life support; soon thereafter, he passed quickly and peacefully. By Gary's bedside were his wife and other close family members," according to his manager John Alcantar.

Simon Monjack - Died May 23, 2010

Just five months after the sudden death of Brittany Murphy, her husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack, was found dead on May 23, 2010 in his home at the age of 39. Simon was in the LA home he had shared with his wife when Brittany's mother found him to be unresponsive and dialed 911. The LA Fire Department quickly responded to the call, but he was pronounced dead.

Ronnie James Dio - Died May 16, 2010

Heavy metal vocalist and songwriter Ronnie James Dio died on May 16, 2010 at the age of 67 after battling stomach cancer. He performed with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, and his own band Dio. He was known for his powerful voice and for popularizing the "devil's horns" hand gesture in metal culture.

Lena Horne - Died May 9, 2010

Talented singer/actress/dancer Lena Horne died in NYC on May 9, 2010 at the age of 92. When she was just 16, Lena joined the chorus of the Cotton Club and became a nightclub performer. She went to Hollywood and starred in a handful of movies before returning to her true passion to be a singer.

Dixie Carter - Died April 10, 2010

Actress Dixie Carter died on April 10, 2010 at the age of 70. She passed away from complications due to endometrial cancer. You might recognize Dixie from her guest appearance alongside Eva Longoria on Desperate Housewives. True fans will remember her as interior decorator Julia Sugarbaker on Designing Women.

John Forsythe - Died April 2, 2010

TV legend John Forsythe, star of hit shows such as Dynasty and Charlie's Angels, passed away on April 2, 2010 at the age of 92. In 2006, John was diagnosed with colon cancer and died from pneumonia complications in Santa Ynez, California.
