Singer Amy Winehouse Found Dead at 27 Jul 23rd 2011, 09:06 At the young age of 27, talented singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment on Saturday July 23. The Grammy winner battled a very public addiction to drugs and alcohol over the years and made numerous attempts to get clean. With short stints in rehab and visits to the hospital, we knew there were health issues. But we didn't see this sad news coming our way. Her US record label quickly released a statement to her fans saying: "We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of such a gifted musician, artist and performer. Our prayers go out to Amy's family, friends and fans at this difficult time." Toxicology reports can take weeks to provide answers so until then, the cause of death remains a mystery. R.I.P.
