During the Television Critics Association extravaganza, Fox announced a laundry list of celebrities who will be dominating animation on Sundays during the 2011-2012 TV season. Some of the casting is actually quite clever.
Kiefer Sutherland, of 24 fame, will play a former FBI agent on The Simpsons. Funny because, y'know, he used to play an FBI agent! Another stunt in casting for The Simpsons is Armie Hammer, who played twins in The Social Network. He lends his voice to an episode titled "The D'Ohcial Network." Oh, that Fox casting director deserves a fresh fruit bouquet!
Family Guy has some heavy hitters on its roster. Ryan Reynolds, described in a press release as "actor and heartthrob," will stalk Peter Griffin this fall. More amazing is that classy, Oscar darling Cate Blanchett will be visiting Quahog. Bird is the word, indeed.
