Celebrity Cars to Star at Auburn
Aug 9th 2011, 18:12

We love seeing celebrity owned cars coming up for sale, especially if the cars are stars in their own right. At World Wide Auctions Auburn event starting September 2nd, there will be three cars that will bring back nostalgic memories from our past:

1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am "Bandit" Sports Coupe - Now this isn't just a movie stunt double, it's Burt Reynolds' very own "Bandit", as immortalized in the 1970's movie 'Smokey & the Bandit. Burt Reynolds acquired this special example for his own use, properly restored with slight modification for the Bandit himself.

1959 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible - This particular Fury was bought by Richard Carpenter to celebrate the Carpenter's successes with hits like Close to You and We've Only Just Begun. The Plymouth is still titled in his name.

1963 Ford Galaxie Mayberry Police Cruiser - For those of you who remember the 1960's hit, this blast from the past is autographed and authenticated by Barney Fife star, Don Knotts, and featured again in the movie We are Marshall with Matthew McConaughey.

World Wide's full inventory of cars can be found on the company's website - www.wwgauctions.com
